We had an excellent day chasing the perfect view of Mt. Fuji with the very knowledgeable guide Moto. He is also a hiking guide for those who want to climb the mountain. We could only recommend him as a guide!
Thanks for the review and rating! We took only a peek at the top of Mt.Fuji. Please feel that it is a sense of subtleness we Japanese admire. Come back again to see the complete figure at the next chance!
We took a car in from Tokyo to meet up with Moto for a trip to Aokigahara Forest and some views of Fuji. This was my first time using this site and I was a little hesitant at first, but after a few back and forth e-mails I was feeling more comfortable. We met Moto at the train station and started our journey. On the way to our first stop, the Wind Cave in Aokigahara Moto noticed that there was a good view forming of Mt Fuji. He turned around into a viewing spot and we ended up having the best picture and view of Fuji of the whole day. We continued on to the Wind Cave and Ice Cave which were very cool (pun intended). We love caves and these were pretty awesome. We did take about a 20 min walk through the forest to get from one cave to the other which was plenty to get the feel of it that we were looking for. So isolated feeling and quiet. After the caves we went to a couple more viewing spots by the lakes and then stopped for a nice lunch. Then on to the top of the Hill to see the Chureito Pagoda. This is the Pagoda where you can get a great picture with Mt Fuji in the background. We couldn't see as much of Mt Fuji as we did in the morning but enough. To end the trip we made a stop at a nice little Sake Brewery, Ide-Jozoten. It had been cloudy for a couple of days and raining at the start of our day going there. We had no expectations of seeing Mt Fuji, but we did! Moto was so concerned about making sure we had views of Fuji and wanted everything to be great for us. He did a fantastic job showing us around and the stops that he picked were great. Couldn't have asked for a better day out or a better guide. Thank you Moto san!
Thanks for your review. Even though it is hard to view the mountain in this period of the year, we could find the beautiful summit capped by the snow! Assuming that Mount Fuji has promised your fortune in the future. Bless you!
As a small group of 8 our tour with Motoyuki was a wonderful mix of beauty, experience and knowledge. We were taken to Lake Motosu, the shiraito falls a lovely tea house and sake tasting. We found Motoyuki knowledgeable, kind and a great tour guide. I would highly recommend him.
Thanks for the five-star rating and nice review. Your happy smile in pictures is the most precious reward of my guide work. Hope your journey will be wonderful as well. See you again!
What a fun day with Motoyuki! We tried to see Mt Fuji from different vantage points including one of the beautiful lakes on the back of the 1000 yen bill. Too bad the rain made it a limited view. We had a price sake tasting and tour of company that has been around more than 300 years. Delicious and informative. Best sushi lunch ever at a place locals enjoy with conveyer belts! That tuna was like butter! Ended day with Mt Fuji Heritage museum which was very creative and was built as if you were hiking the stations of Mt Fuji and what panoramic view you would see. Moto was knowledgeable fun and approachable. He was also an excellent driver and designed a great itinerary for for we desired!
Thanks for a great review! I am very happy to know that you were satisfied with the tour even though Mt.Fuji was veiled. I hope you will come again. Mt.Fuji and I are welcoming you on a fine day!
