In Koedo Kawagoe
"Koedo" literally means "Little Edo" which is located about 30 minutes by train from central Tokyo. It's a compact town so quite suitable for one day trip.
Kura-no-machi (old storehouse town) still has the atmosphere of Edo culture. These storehouses were built by carpenters from Edo in Meiji period.

wear kimono and take a walk in the town. (2,160 Jpy ~ / person )
do sake (rice wine) tasting. (200 Jpy ~ )
stroll in Kura-no-machi and enjoy shopping and eating.
visit Toki-no-kane. (Time Bell Tower)
do some shopping in Penny Candy Alley.
have your hanko (seal) made. (3,500 Jpy ~ / takes 2~3 days, it depends on how busy they are. They can send it to your hotel )
eat eels, soba noodles, udon noodles, sweet potato confectionery. ( Kawagoe has been famous for sweet potatoes. )
visit temples and shrines. (Kitain Temple, Hikawa Shrine etc.) Especially in Kitain Temple you can meet 500 unique stone Buddha statues. (400Jpy)
hire the rickshaw. (2,000 Jpy ~ / person Their service depends on the weather)
buy a nice Japanese hocho ( kitchen knife).

*During high season and weekends, I recommend reservations in advance for kimono and some famous eel restaurants.
