First time in Lisbon? This is the perfect way to get to know the major attractions of the city: Baixa, Chiado, Bairro Alto and Alfama
Lisbon can be a challenge with so many hills and steep streets. We believe every effort in this tour is worthwhile and the views we will enjoy from two of the most iconic hills are breathtaking.
Praça dos Restauradores
The square marks the northern entrance to city centre.
Take a ride with this old and charming funicular uphill
Our first overview of the city and the lovely views of downtown, the Castle and the river.
This trendy district is now one of the major areas to find cozy restaurants and several indie shops.
The elegant 19th century district is filled with interesting shops, historical cafés, theaters and old bookstores.
This is the heart of the city, with it’s central square Rossio and streets in grid built after the great earthquake of 1755
The area surrounding the Castle Saint Jorge (entrance fee not included) allows us a view of the city from a different perspective
The old and labyrinth-like district of Alfama with its narrow streets and small houses takes us back in time before the earthquake.
We will end our tour at the greatest square of city, Commerce Square, overlooking the river Tagus. From the square you can have a lunch break at the many restaurants nearby or do your own shopping tour at the Augusta street.
Praça do Comércio

Although we will avoid very steep streets, Lisbon is very uneven. Comfortable shoes to walk on old cobblestones is required. Please note that we will take the funicular, public transportation that might be busy.
Leonor did a custom tour for our family of 4 for 6hours. She is incredibly professional and knowledgeable. She is also a talented linguist - most of her tours are actually German yet her English is absolutely impeccable. Overall, we had tremendous fun exploring Lisbon with her and would recommend her to anyone.
